A renowned neurosurgeon who is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman has declared interest to run for the Governorship position in Kwara state in the next general election under the platform of then ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
Prof. Sulaiman declared his interest during a press conference on Saturday in Ilorin.
He disclosed that he will build on the successes and achievement of the Malam Abdulralman Abdulrasaq led Administration in the areas of education, health, infrastructural development, Agriculture and poverty alleviation.
“The ruling Party in Nigeria is the All Progressives congress and I am very comfortable with the work that is been done at the state and National levels. I believe there are no alternatives to the ruling party”
Prof. Sulaiman commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu renewed hope agenda which has put Nigeria on the path of sustainable development.
“I think the renewed hope agenda by president Bola Tinubu is gaining ground and we are beginning to see international indices generated by world Bank which commended the initiatives taken by the government to reposition the economy.”
He opined that education will take a central place in his development agenda, stressing that access to quality learning opportunities can transform the lives of individuals and communities.
