David Adodo fulfils pledge to Muslim Women, donates for mosque building

An America based Nigerian philanthropist, David Adodo, has donated an undisclosed sum of money to the Muslim Asalatu group in Ivbiaro Owan East Local Government Area, Edo state.


David Adodo who is a Christian promised the women the gift during his last birthday which coincided with the Muslim Ramadan fast.

The philanthropist represented by the producer, Destiny King production, Asekhome Sule Aliu, said the promise was made by David Adodo when he celebrated his birthday with them in the month of Ramadan, adding that the gesture is part of his good will to ensure that the entire Owan is rid of poverty.


He said David Adodo has made donations to different organisations in Edo north in line with his personal philosophy, that he is happy when people are happy.

“When we came for the birthday of Adodo sometime in March, these women requested that they should be assisted in building their mosque so that they have a place to worship the Almighty Allah and the fulfilment of that promise made by David Adodo is what we are witnessing today.”

Asekhome added that the philanthropist was not known to him until when he launched one of his entertainment production.


“It was when I released my production some times ago that this man fell in love with my production and he gave me some money to buy equipment which am using to produce film across Owan land today. I have a full editing equipment and cameras courtesy David Adodo.”

The group prayed for the philanthropist to continue to excel while some of them led by Mrs Adama Yakubu commended the gesture of the philanthropist and promised to utilize it for the purpose it was meant for.

The event was attended by some Muslim leaders including a former chairman of the defunct Owan Local Government Area, Chief Kassim Ozeto, at the Ivbiaro central mosque.
