The President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has pledged to continue to stand by the people and strive relentlessly to make life better for all.
The Waziri Ngeri of the Ilorin Emirate, Saraki, stated this on Thursday, June 13th, 2024, as he commenced the distribution of rams for the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
According to Saraki’s Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the distribution committee which was set up by the former Senate President started the distribution on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Beneficiaries include traditional rulers, religious leaders, selected party elders, and leaders among others.
Abdulqadir said the distribution is in fulfillment of his annual tradition to share with the people in the spirit of Sallah and appreciate them.
He added that the gesture will also bring succour during this period of economic hardship and ensure that the people celebrate with joy in their various homes.
The beneficiaries hailed the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate for sustaining the gesture despite being out of government for many years. They claimed that the distribution would go a long way to ensure families celebrate joyously despite the economic situation in the country.
They prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to protect the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate and guide him in all his endeavours towards making life better for the people.
