FG’s National Youth Dev Bank to empower young entrepreneurs – Minister

The Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, says President Bola Tinubu takes the youths as priority and is in support of lofty ideas and initiatives already in the works to make Nigeria more promising for the youths.

Jamila stated this on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, while addressing various youth groups at the Ministry of Youths Development in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

She noted that the initiatives include the establishment of the National Youth Development Bank, which will enhance access to capital and ease smooth business take-off for young and prospective entrepreneurs.

According to her, the ministry being a newly established one is putting institutional frameworks in place to ensure a smooth roll out of the various initiatives.

Bio-Ibrahim thanked the youths for their patience and sought their continued support for the Tinubu administration.

She also hailed Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for giving the youths the opportunity to serve in his administration. 

In her earlier remark, the Kwara State Commissioner for Youth Development, Miss Nafisat Musa Buge, welcomed the minister to the State and thanked her for finding time to visit her home state and meet with her people. 

She expressed delight that with Jamila Bio-Ibrahim’s appointment, President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq both recognize the youth as key and are preparing them for leadership roles.

Others present at the meeting include former Commissioners, top government officials, party women and youth leaders, paramilitary representatives, students among others. 

The Youth Minister who was visiting her home state, Kwara for the first time after her appointment and inauguration as a member of the Bola Tinubu cabinet was given a grand welcome from the airport.

She thereafter paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for his royal blessings.
