- seeks further support from government, individuals
In a bid to give them a sense of belonging, pupils of the School of the Special Needs, Enu-Odi, Ilesa held their Children’s day party amid donations and funfare.
The annual event held at the school hall was graced by special guests who joined the school management and the students to celebrate the special day.
A philanthropist and organizer of the annual party, Dr Gbolabo Oni, said the determination to hold the event was to cheer up the young persons with disability with extra curricula activity.
Oni, who thanked donors for their day-to-day support, used the occasion to again seek support for the provision of brail for the visually impaired in all the PWD schools in Osun state.
The School headmistress, Mrs Dupe-Omowumi Bello, who disclosed that the school will soon relocate to their permanent site at Ireti-Ayo area, said the site still requires essential facilities to include kitchen, dining hall and security personnel.
The event witnessed donation of school uniform and hostel wears to the pupils. It also witnessed song renditions, dance and refreshment for all.
