Ilorin South LG Chairman lauded for developmental strides

The Kwara State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Abdullahi Abubakar Bata, has lauded the performance of Mr. Nuhu Majeed Podo as Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government area, noting that the people are fortunate to have him.

Bata stated this during the inspection tour of developmental projects executed by the Podo-led administration in Ilorin South LG.

The commissioner said that the Chairman shares the same vision with the State Government under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq by embarking on projects that would bring governance closer to the people.

The Commissioner disclosed it was his third time inspecting projects in the Local Government, and expressed satisfaction with the level of development in the Council Area.

He applauded Mr Podo for delivering the dividends of democracy to his people with projects that touched their lives and urged him to continue in this direction.

Stakeholders in the Communities, also took turn to commend Podo for the impactful projects in their communities.

Among projects visited by the Commissioner are the reconstructed Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps Divisional Office, Alagbado, reconstructed Hall at Sheik Abdusalam Junior Secondary School, named after Mutawali of Ilorin, and reconstructed two blocks of classrooms at Ansarul Islam Primary School, Tegbesun.

Others are provision of electricity transformers for Diamond Spring Estate, Budo Osho, Laduba Community, Ogidi, and Sheik Hamza Agbaridoma Community, Oko-Olowo.
