Following the success of the maiden sport and entertainment game festival, organizers of the ILORINGAMEFIESTA have announced that the second edition of the event will hold on November 24, 2024 at Succoth Valley Garden, GRA, Ilorin.
The ILORINGAMEFIESTA started in 2023, to celebrate raw talents resident in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital with diverse sporting activities and entertainment.
Convener of ILORINGAMEFIESTA, Engr. Abisola Kabirat Olaiya, while speaking with newsmen, disclosed that this year’s edition promises to be memorable with several interesting activities lined up for all attendees.
These include various forms of indoor and outdoor games, recreational games, horseback riding and entertaining activities for both the young and old.
The Convener stated that the event, certified by the International Olympic Council for its impact, is not just to harmonise all Ilorin residents, but also a “platform where sport meets entertainment and avails participants the opportunity to network.”
According to her, the 7-hour event will kick off with the red-carpet by 11:00am while the games and entertainment activities start by 12noon.
“The ILORINGAMEFIESTA which held its maiden edition last year, is organized by Kwara skillful youths and there has been no limitations to a specific attendance; age range starting from age 3 above.
“The open game festival is a broad gathering to harmonise all Ilorin residents for maximum fun and networking through Gaming. And this is to enhance unity, peace and networking among individuals residing in the city of Ilorin.
“The first edition was such a huge success that the International Olympic Council, IOC, recognized it and awarded a certificate to the convener, certifying the GameFiesta in all states of the federation.
“This second edition tagged, ILORINGAMEFIESTA 2.0, holds on November, 24, 2024, and promises to be more interesting with fresh initiatives, additional games and entertaining activities,” Olaiya said.
The ILORINGAMEFIESTA 2.0 is supported by Kwara state government, GgeeFoodsNg, Vijobs, MayoVest, Femtech IT, Freecity motors, EVC, Buklab, VIVA cinema, Item7, Emirate Hotel among others.
