- Urges Continued Youth Empowerment
The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Comrade Akinbode Segun Olakolupo, Thursday commended Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, for their unwavering support of youth empowerment in the state.
Olakolupo gave the commendation on Thursday at the Imole Youth Corps inauguration, held at Freedom Park, Osogbo.
Speaking at the event, Comr. Akinbode described the initiative as a transformative step towards equipping young people with vital skills and fostering civic responsibility.
He urged the government to sustain and expand youth-focused programs, ensuring long-term impact and development.
“The future of Osun depends on the empowerment of its youth. This initiative must not stop here—it should grow stronger,” he stated.
He also charged the newly inaugurated corps members to embrace discipline, innovation, and service to the state.
