In its bid to take the campaign against drug to the grassroot, a non-governmental organisation, Kayode Adamolekun Foundation, has concluded plans to organize its maiden Kayode Adamolekun Inter secondary school football competition in Ekiti state.

The Football competition, aimed at creating awareness against drug abuse will kick off on May 5, 2023.

In a statement signed by the founder of the Foundation, Engr Kayode Adamolekun, the competition themed, “Playing for a drug free society” will be an avenue to take the war against drugs to all across board, as football universally has been one of the best medium to send message to the mass audience.

Adamolekun stressed that the game will create avenue to discuss with the youths on the dangers of drug abuse as well as create an enabling environment for rehabilitation.

He noted that the sensitization tournament became necessary due to the issue of Substance Abuse among teenagers and young adults.

He expressed concern that the younger generation who are leaders of tomorrow, are falling under the weight of peer pressure and sheer ignorance, by wasting their precious lives away to addiction.

Adamolekun said he will never relent in his quest to ensure a drug free society as he would ensure he plays his part to ensure a society free of drugs.
