The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) Kwara Branch, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, kicked off the year with a REBUMAA Stakeholders Coordination Meeting.

Babaomo Ayodeji, the Branch Secretary of NRCS, Kwara, opened the meeting with a warm welcome speech, to set the tone for a productive session.
The session highlighted progress recorded and also projected ahead of the new year.
The facilitator and NRCS Disaster Risk Reduction Officer from the National Headquarters, Ibrahim Amuda, harped on enhancing community resilience through anticipatory action by all.
Dr. Lawal Olorungbebe, the state Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, who was represented by Taye Odedeji, a Director from the Ministry, emphasized the vital role of education in disaster preparedness.
Olorungbebe commended NRCS for mobilizing stakeholders and for its unflinching efforts towards saving lives and properties.

Anchored by Afolayan Taiye, the Branch Communication Officer, the meeting encouraged vibrant discussions aimed at leveraging collective resources for disaster resilience.
