The President of the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining, and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), Chief Mrs. Ronke Adeyemi (SAN), has assured business associates that the annual Trade Fair will further add more economic value in the coming year.

Adeyemi who expressed gratitude and optimism for the future of the Kwara Trade Fair during the closing ceremony of its 11th edition, said measures are in place to make it better and more enterprising for business associates.

Addressing participants, stakeholders, and guests at the ceremony, Mrs. Adeyemi acknowledged the economic challenges faced during the event but emphasized the importance of perseverance and God’s grace.

“In all of this, we give glory to God. Many factors were responsible for whatever we feel was the issue this year, especially the economy. There’s been a lot of things going on, but God has been in control. We thank God for as many people who were able to come and participate,” she stated.

Highlighting the broader purpose of the trade fair beyond commerce, Mrs. Adeyemi noted that it serves as a platform for building connections and partnerships, similar to international trade fairs.

“Trade fair is not only for buying and selling. It’s majorly for making contact. There are some international fairs that when you go there and you want to buy something, they’ll tell you they can’t sell, that you’ll need to take their contact and then come back to their factory. And that’s what we’re aiming for,” she explained.

Proudly positioning Kwara’s trade fair as a leading event in the region, the KWACCIMA President remarked on its significance in the North-Central geopolitical zone.

“Kwara trade fair is one of the biggest in the north central. I don’t know of other states in the north central that holds a yearly trade fair,” Mrs. Adeyemi added.

In her closing remarks, she assured participants and stakeholders of continuous improvement and growth for the fair in the coming years.

“We thank everyone that has participated and we can assure you by the grace of God, next year will be bigger and better.”

The Kwara Trade Fair has grown to become a vital platform for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and industries to showcase their products, forge partnerships, and contribute to the region’s economic development.
