The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports commission, Coach Bola Adisa Mogaji has justified the 7% interest he received from the Money he loaned the state owned club “Kwara United .
The clarification comes as lovers and fans of Kwara United recently bemoaned and wondered why the Executive Chairman of Sports Commission will benefit in terms of interest on the money he (Mogaji) was said to have loaned to Kwara United to rescue and save the team to sort out financial obligations before the release of the due subventions .
Reacting to the accusation , Mogaji said “I noticed there’s something hidden from the loan they get, it use to be 10% so I came up with 7% plan to block the 10% “.
Meanwhile , some sport stakeholders have disagreed with the Sports Commission boss, alleging that he ( Mogaji ) had no good intentions for the club and sports in the State.
Some of the stakeholders who pleaded anonymity while commenting on the matter said Bola Mogaji has not added any value to Sports development in the state.
They also alleged that the sport helmsman is primarily out to make business gains from what they described as under-development.
” If he is not a corrupt leader, why should he loan a club under his watch money and get percentage? ” ,the stakeholders queried.
