A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Busari Yakubu, popularly known as Donbay, has thrown his hat into the ring for the House of Representatives seat in the Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo federal constituency in 2027 general elections.
The APC Chieftain made the declaration at separate APC stakeholders’ meetings ,held on Friday and Saturday at Ago-Are residential home of Chief Samuel Adekola , Agoamodu and Saki respectively.
“I am pleased to announce my intention to run for Saki West, Saki East and ATISBO federal constituency, leveraging the valuable experiences and insights I gained from previous elections, I am confident in my ability to lead and serve the people of my constituency. I look forward to sharing my vision and plans for the progress and development of my constituency”
He said his decision to vie for the position stemmed from his desire to support the transformation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as well as contribute to the development of the constituency.
He reiterated his determination to work towards the alleviation of poverty from his constituency as demonstrated by the incumbent Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem and assured that he would strive to ensure sustainable youths and women empowerment if elected.
“Good governance and quality representation is what we need to take our people out from poverty and underdevelopment as being exhibited by our incumbent member, House of Representatives and this I will strive to achieve if given the mandate,” he said.

Donbay’s decision to run for public office stems from a lifelong dedication to public service and a proven record of leadership since 2009
Busari Yakubu who hails from Ago-Are, ATISBO LGA,has always felt deeply connected to his community and is committed to its development and progress of the Federal Constituency.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman at ATISBO LGA Tafa Muftau (Ekuku) said ,his diverse experiences have endowed him with a unique perspective and a wide range of skills that he believes are vital for effective leadership.
“Throughout his political journey, Donbay has consistently demonstrated his ability to mobilize support, contributing to the victories of various candidates. His active involvement in the constituency politics, making him a recognized and respected figure in the area”.
As he embarks on this new chapter of his political career, other stakeholders at the gathering are firmly convinced that he is the best man to represent the interests of the Federal Constituency. His goal is to bring the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of his constituents and to ensure quality representation at the Green Chambers.
“We invite the good people of old Ifedapo Federal Constituency to join him on this political journey to create a brighter future for our federal constituency and the state saying “together we can achieve remarkable progress and make a lasting impact on the lives of the people we serve.” ,they stated.
He further called for support for President Bola Tinubu’s expected re-election bid, noting, “This is another opportunity for the Yoruba to serve two terms as President. Nigeria stands to benefit immensely if Tinubu is re-elected.”
During his separate consultations in the constituency, Donbay pledged to run an inclusive government that reflects the diversity and needs of the people.
Speaking on the development, APC leaders in Saki East unanimously reaffirmed their unwavering support for Donbay, expressing that, he has been paying his dues and are willing to pay him back in multiple.
Stakeholders from Saki West believe it’s ATISBO LGA’s turn to produce the next member of the House of Representatives, citing a 24-year wait. This development is significant in the ATISBO/Saki West/Saki East federal constituency, where various aspirants are vying for the top position.
