The Stakeholders and sports enthusiasts alike saluted the Governor for his swift action to see sports thriving and see Kwara indigenes doing exploits in sports.
A stakeholder Ambassador Olaitan Ahmed in a chat described the setbacks and lapses in the stadium as a result of incapability, nonchalant attitude and negligence of the authority in charge.
He emphasized on the impact of negligence of the constituted Authority on football development noting that negligence on the part of the authority in charge has led to series of issues taming the growth of football in Kwara, amid other issues around the stadium.
Media platforms had earlier reported the deplorable condition of the Kwara stadium , with overgrown bushes around the stadium harbouring criminals who loot shops of traders at the stadium.
His Excellency who graced the Final Campaign of the fast-growing talent hunt football tournament, AMAPRO Championship, also visited the facilities where he was in a close door inspection with the Sport Commission Boss.
