I have noted with amusement though not surprised, the now predictable resort by the Ademola Adeleke administration to daily press releases laced with falsehoods, paranoia, and manufactured enemies. When a government loses the confidence of the people, it panics. That panic is exactly what Osun people are witnessing today: one press release per day, sometimes more, all aimed at explaining away obvious failure and total loss of control of the masses.
Let it be stated clearly and unequivocally: it is the Adeleke government that Osun people have rejected, not the APC. The noise, name-calling, and endless accusations are symptoms of a government that knows its time is up.

Lies Cannot Replace Leadership, Governor Adeleke’s claim that faceless groups are calling for a state of emergency at the behest of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji is not only false but laughable. This administration has made false accusations its only policy tool, because it has nothing tangible to show Osun people by way of governance. If Osun is peaceful as the Governor claims, why the hysteria? If the people are with him, why the daily propaganda? If governance is working, why the obsession with APC leaders?

The truth is simple: a government that is confident does not shout every day. The Local Government Crisis is a Self-Inflicted Wound the Adeleke administration deliberately created chaos at the local government level through illegality, executive recklessness, and blatant disregard for the rule of law. Rather than follow due process, the government chose confrontation, intimidation, and propaganda.

You cannot dismantle democratic structures unlawfully and then cry victim when institutions push back. It is sheer hypocrisy for a government that rode to power on court judgments to suddenly pretend that court orders and constitutional provisions no longer matter when they are inconvenient.

Weaponising Institutions is not Preserving Peace. While pretending to be a victim, the Adeleke government has consistently politicised security agencies, issued public threats, and turned governance into a daily media circus. This is not leadership; it is desperation.
Dragging the Presidency, security agencies, and respected leaders into local political panic shows how far this administration has fallen. Osun people know the truth: peace is not preserved by press releases but by competence, legality, and inclusive governance, all of which this government sorely lacks.

Osun People Are Awake, the growing rejection of the Adeleke government across Osun State is not imagined. It is visible. It is audible. It is irreversible. Markets, communities, workers, youths, and professionals are asking the same question: “What exactly has this government done for us?” Unable to answer, the government has chosen scapegoats, but Osun people are wiser than that.

The APC does not need to destabilise Osun; the Adeleke administration is doing a fine job destabilising itself through incompetence, intolerance, and arrogance. No amount of daily press statements can rewrite reality. Osun people have moved on.
The masses are no longer deceived.
And come next opportunity, they will speak loudly, clearly, and constitutionally.
