Members of the Muslim community in Tanke, Ilorin, have expressed appreciation to former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, following the distribution of Ramadan Iftar meal packages to mosques in the area as part of his Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation’s ongoing annual Ramadan outreach.
The distribution in Tanke forms part of the wider Iftar support programme initiated by the former Governor of Kwara State, which covers 52 mosques across Kwara State, as well as beneficiaries in seven other states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Confirming the receipt of the Iftar packages, Abdulkareem Adisa Salami of Saka Mosque, Tanke Budo, said the support reached the community for the last ten days of the Ramadan fasting period.
Speaking on behalf of the Muslim community in Tanke, Adisa Salami thanked Dr Saraki for his continued generosity and commitment to supporting Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan. He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant him his heart’s desires and reward his kindness.

He explained that the Iftar items, which include rice, beans, ead and other food items, are prepared and shared daily for 100 people at the mosque to enable them break their fast.
Adisa Salami added that the items were distributed fairly among beneficiaries, noting that those who received them also offered prayers for the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin in appreciation of the gesture.
End.
