Comrade George Oyeyiola, Executive Director, Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation, has appealed for more youths at the positions of authority.
Oyeyiola stated this on Monday, April 24, in a message to commemorate the day as he clocked another year on earth.
“As humans are frail to the dictates of the “ticking clock” of which I am not an exemption, I am eternally grateful to God Almighty for yet another year to live and lead a life of greater impact”.
According to Comrade Oyeyiola, messages, gifts and prayers have been pouring-in of which he is not unthankful of because the dawn of a new day is to him another opportunity given by the Most High to be better and a blessing to the universe.
“Seeing today the 24th of April, 2023 is more than just any other day. It’s a gift and for which I am grateful to God” he said.
Comrade Oyeyiola ceased the occasion of his birthday to remind youths of the need to be more focused.
In his words: “there is nothing more energizing than focus. As it keeps the distractions which will always be there away because your mind is fixed on nothing else but a better version of you”.
The youth vanguard however frowned at the rate at which young adults acquire money at the expense of a good name and stressed that ill gotten wealth fades away quickly within “a blink of an eye”.
“Youths in Nigeria and beyond please desist from anything incriminating as ill gotten wealth doesn’t last”, he stressed.
The joyous celebrant also maintained that his birthday falling on the holidays given to mark the end of this year’s Ramadan is enough message from the Almighty and thereby resolved to use every moment of the year meaningfully for humanity.
“To all my Muslim friends once again Eid Mubarak and may all the prayers raised during the sacred month of Ramadan be answered”, Comrade Oyeyiola.
The Executive Director hinted further that it’s his utmost expectation to see more youth occupy position of authority in politics and governance at this season as to him the future of youths at the corridors of power is “now”.
