Prince Abiodun Badewa of the Odugbogun-Arowosilejoye Royal Family has emerged as the new Akeji-Ile-elect, the traditional ruler of Ikeji-Ile.
His emergence was confirmed at a meeting of the royal family held at the family in Ikeji-Ile, where he was unanimously nominated as the consensus candidate of the family.
Speaking with newsmen, the head of the royal family, Prince Adepoju Adesipe, expressed gratitude to God over the development, describing Prince Badewa as a visionary leader, philanthropist, and a man capable of taking the kingdom to greater heights.
Prince Adesipe noted that the royal household will be returning as the ruling house of Ikeji-ile in almost a century, adding that he is elated to be the family head when the “historical event” is happening.

Also speaking, Prince Johnson Akinyele, a member of the royal family, expressed delight that the royal stool would be returning to the family after nearly a century.
He however, described Prince Badewa as a calm, humble, and easy-going individual with a strong passion for philanthropy and community development.
Among those in attendance at the meeting were officials of Oriade Local Government, members of the royal family, and other well-wishers who gathered to witness the historic occasion.
