- NGO appeals to privileged individuals, organizations to assist the needy
Affluent citizens of Ijesa land and Nigeria at large have been urged to give back to society through philanthropic activities aimed at supporting the needy and the underprivileged.
The call was made by the Chairman AGM committee of the Great Ambassadors of Ijesa Kingdom, GAIK, Hon Adebayo Adetona Tony during the organization’s annual philanthropy programme, where items were distributed to vulnerable members of the community, during visits to child care facilities and correctional centers.
Hon. Adetona stressed that it is a moral and social responsibility for individuals blessed by the Almighty to remember the destitute and less privileged in society. He noted that philanthropy remains a vital tool for reducing hardship and promoting communal harmony.

According to him, the Great Ambassador of Ijesa Kingdom remains committed to improving the welfare of the people through regular humanitarian interventions and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries of the outreach, Matron Osun State Child Care Facility, Mrs Alade expressed her appreciation to the organization for the timely support, describing the initiative as a demonstration of compassion and love for humanity.
The annual philanthropy programme is one of GAIK’s efforts to promote unity, social responsibility, and sustainable development within Ijesa land and beyond.
