Former presidential candidate and prominent national leader, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has congratulated Sir Chief Bisi Fakayode on his emergence as the National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Home and Abroad, describing the development as “a victory for competence, integrity, and experience.”

In a statement issued on Monday, Olawepo-Hashim said Chief Fakayode’s election signifies the overwhelming confidence reposed in him by Igbomina sons and daughters across the world, noting that it reflects his long standing dedication to unity, cultural preservation, and community development.

“Your emergence is a clear acknowledgment of your unmatched dedication, integrity, and decades of service to the growth and cohesion of Igbomina land,” he said. “It is no surprise that Igbomina people have entrusted you with this important responsibility.”

Hashim observed that Fakayode’s leadership comes at a crucial moment when communities across Nigeria are confronted with serious socio-economic and security challenges, stressing that such a period demands strategic and experienced leadership.

“At a time when our nation and our communities are confronted with significant socio-economic and security concerns, your election represents hope,” he noted.

“Leadership is most needed when times are most difficult, and your wealth of experience, strategic insight, and proven capacity for consensus-building will be invaluable to the Igbomina people and indeed Kwara State.”

Expressing confidence in the new National President’s ability to reposition the organisation, Hashim said he expects to see strengthened unity, enhanced community safety, and renewed developmental momentum under Fakayode’s stewardship.

“Your leadership will not only inspire Igbomina people but also serve as an example of how community driven progress can shape broader national transformation,” he added.

He concluded by praying for divine guidance for the new president. “Once again, congratulations, Sir Bisi Fakayode. May God grant you wisdom, strength, and clarity of purpose as you lead Igbomina people towards greater unity and prosperity.”
