A Chieftain of the Labour Party in Osun state, Engr Gideon Aloba has stressed the need to draw lessons from the judgement of the Presidential Election Tribunal and apply such to strengthen the nation’s electoral system for future elections.
It will be recalled that the tribunal led by Justice Haruna Tsamani unanimously in its ruling re-affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25th presidential election and dismissed petitions filed by the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Allied Peoples Movement.
Aloba in a statement issued by his media office on Friday in Ilesha, Osun State, maintained that national development thrives in an atmosphere of peace.
The Labour Party Chieftain reiterated that national building is a collective responsibility, urging the people not to lose hope in the country.
While urging Nigerians and people of Osun State to remain calm, the IT guru charged aggrieved parties to approach the Supreme Court to get justice.
